Terms of service
Last updated: 4 June 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Booksara ("we", "us") for the use of the Booksara platform at booksara.com. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms on behalf of yourself and any business you register.
1. The service
Booksara is a cloud accounting platform: invoicing and ZATCA e-invoicing, estimates, bills and purchase orders, payroll, banking records, reports, and related tools. Features available to you depend on your subscription plan, and we may improve or change features over time.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication.
- If you invite team members or a bookkeeper into your business, you are responsible for the access you grant them.
- You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and use the service only for lawful business purposes.
3. Plans, trials, and billing
- Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment provider, Moyasar. Prices are shown on the pricing page and exclude any bank or card fees your issuer may charge.
- Some paid plans include a free trial for new subscribers. You are not charged during the trial; to avoid charges, cancel before the trial ends.
- Subscriptions renew for successive billing periods until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; your plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for.
- Add-ons such as SMS credit bundles and bookkeeper packages are one-time purchases charged at the listed price.
- If a renewal payment fails we may retry it and will notify you. Continued non-payment may lead to downgrade or suspension of paid features.
- Refunds are handled according to our refund policy.
4. Your data
- The business records you enter into Booksara belong to you. You grant us only the rights needed to host and process them in order to provide the service.
- You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the data you enter, including having the right to store your customers' and employees' information.
- You can export your records from the platform at any time while your account is active.
- How we collect and protect personal data is described in our privacy policy.
5. Tax and ZATCA compliance
Booksara provides tooling that implements ZATCA e-invoicing requirements, but it is software, not tax advice. You remain responsible for the correctness of your tax registrations, the figures on your invoices, your filings, and your compliance with ZATCA and other regulations. Verify output with your accountant or advisor where it matters.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not use the service for anything unlawful or fraudulent, including issuing fictitious invoices.
- Do not attempt to breach, probe, or disrupt the platform, other tenants' data, or our infrastructure.
- Do not resell or provide the service to third parties as your own, and do not abuse messaging features to send spam.
- Respect plan limits, such as the number of businesses and storage included in your subscription.
7. Availability and support
We work to keep the service available and take regular encrypted backups, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation — maintenance windows, upstream outages, and ZATCA platform availability are outside any guarantee. Support is provided through the in-app ticket system and by email, and you should keep your own copies of critical documents.
8. Intellectual property
The platform, its design, and its code remain our property. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your businesses while you have an active account. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the product without obligation.
9. Suspension and termination
- You may stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate an account for material breach of these terms, unlawful use, non-payment, or a risk to the platform or other customers. Where reasonable we will warn you first.
- After termination we provide a reasonable window to export your data, after which it is deleted in line with our privacy policy and statutory retention requirements.
10. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses caused by inaccurate data you entered, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Saudi law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we will give notice by email or in-app before they take effect; continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts and authorities of the Kingdom.
